ESPN Fires NHL Analyst Matthew Barnaby After DWI

ESPN has fired NHL analyst Matthew Barnaby after he was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated Monday morning, according to the network.

"We spoke with Matthew and informed him that we terminated his contract, effective immediately," an ESPN spokesman said.

Barnaby had worked as an NHL Analyst for the network since 2008.

Monday morning, Barnaby was arrested after deputies in Erie County, New York were called to respond to a Porsche Cayenne driving on its front rim. The Sheriff’s department said that Barnaby failed several field sobriety tests and refused a breath test, according to ESPN.com.
