Chicago Bears' running back Matt Forte said Tuesday that he does not know when he will be able to return from a sprained MCL injury, which he suffered Sunday in a game with the Kansas City Chiefs.

Forte was given a platelet rich plasma (PRP) shot, which is designed to expedite the healing process.

"I don't want to give a timetable because I really don't know exactly how long it's going to take, because it varies," Forte told ESPN. "I'm just going to do everything I can. I got the PRP shot. That makes it heal up faster." The Bears are currently 7-5, but they have dropped their last two after losing starting quarterback Jay Cutler. Coach Lovie Smith has said that he expects both players to return before the end of the season.
