The Detroit Pistons will re-sign veteran Tayshaun Prince with a four-year, $27 million-plus contract, Adrian Wajnawroski of Yahoo! Sports reports.

The veteran small forward will remain with the team that drafted him in the first round of the 2002 NBA draft. Several teams, including the Chicago Bulls, San Antonio Spurs and Los Angeles Clippers were interested in Prince's versatility. The former NBA champion and Olympic gold medalist has averaged 12.9 points and 2.7 assists in 661 career games.
