New York Jets safety Jim Leonhard has been lost for the season with a knee injury, according to Manish Mehta of the Daily News.

Last season the injury was a fractured tibia; this season, it is an as yet undefined right knee injury -- possibly a torn ligament, according to Rich Cimini of ESPNNewYork.com, who also reports that Leonhard is slated for an MRI. The injury came when Leonhard landed awkwardly after intercepting a Tyler Palko pass in the second quarter, and teammate Darrelle Revis claimed after the game that word on the sideline was that Leonhard was done for the season.
