Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson said Monday that he thought certain members of the New Orleans Saints were intentionally attempting to reinjure his sprained ankle, according to an Associated Press report.

Peterson had missed three straight games leading up to Sunday's game, and the report indicates that he had expected to be targeted by opposing defenders. He says that he was especially upset when New Orleans' defensive back Jabari Greer twisted his ankle during a pile up. After the play, Peterson said that he confronted Greer, because at that point "it kind of got overboard," he told the AP.
