The Chicago White Sox and starting pitcher John Danks have agreed to a five-year, $65 million contract extension, according to MLB Trade Rumors. The extension comes amid rumors that Danks would be traded. Danks, 26, went 8-12 with a 4.33 ERA in 2011 after winning 15 games with a 3.72 ERA in 2010. He was set to become a free agent after the 2012 season.
