Jeremy Lin has been claimed off waivers by the New York Knicks, according to ESPN New York.
Lin, 23, was released by the Houston Rockets this week to make room for free-agent big man Samuel Dalembert. Lin was claimed by the Rockets off waivers Dec. 12 when the Golden State Warriors made the decision to let him go due to salary cap restrictions.
Dalembert, 30, averaged 10 points and 5 rebounds per game for the Sacramento Kings last season. Last season, Lin averaged 2.9 points and 1.5 assists in 29 games for the Warriors. He played in just 9:48 per game off the bench for Golden State.
