After a 56-26 finish last season, third in the Eastern Conference, the Boston Celtics have started 0-3 this year, including an ugly 19-point loss last night to the New Orleans Hornets. But now it appears that help is on the way -- in the form of a Paul Pierce comeback.
The Celtics' captain has missed the first three games of the season with a bone bruise in his right heel, but he announced on his Twitter page this evening that he's now on the verge of a return.

Pierce's season debut may come tomorrow night when the Celtics take on the Detroit Pistons in their home opener at the TD Garden.
Pierce was the Celtics' leading scorer last season with 18.9 points per game. He needs only 382 points this season to overtake Larry Bird for second place on the franchise's all-time list.
