Terrell Owens Close To Signing With Allen Wranglers Of Indoor Football League

It's looking quite possible that Terrell Owens could return to Dallas next season -- but not to play for his old team, the Dallas Cowboys. This time around, T.O. could be suiting up for the Allen Wranglers of the Indoor Football League.

Yes, seriously. The Wranglers extended a formal, six-figure contract offer to Owens a month ago, according to Brandon George of the Dallas Morning News, and their owner Jon Frankel is now in serious discussion with the receiver and his agent, Drew Rosenhaus. The Wranglers' website has announced that the offer to Owens includes a compensation package of $250,000 up to $500,000.

Frankel told the Dallas paper he talked to a member of Rosenhaus' agency today and was told Owens is "significantly closer" to signing with the Wranglers than he was a month ago.
