Report: Orioles Interested In SP Edwin Jackson

The Baltimore Orioles are interested in free-agent starting pitcher Edwin Jackson, according to Ken Rosenthal of Fox Sports.

Jackson, 28, posted a 12-9 record with a 3.79 ERA in 31 starts between the Chicago White Sox and the eventual World Series champion St. Louis Cardinals in 2011. Over the course of his nine-year career Jackson has an even 60-60 record with a 4.46 ERA while averaging 195 innings pitched per season.

In 2009, Jackson was named to his first and only All-Star team at the age of 25. That year he finished with a 13-9 record and a 3.62 ERA.

The right-handed starter is coming off of a two-year, $13.35 million contract which earned him $8.75 million last season.
