Zach Randolph Expected To Miss Time With Bruised Knee

Memphis Grizzlies big man Zach Randolph is expected to miss time with a bruised right knee, according to the Commercial Appeal.

Randolph fell hard on his knee in the final seconds of the first quarter against the Chicago Bulls on Sunday. The 30-year-old power forward has yet to practice with the team since leaving Sunday’s game.

The former All-Star has averaged just 14.8 points and 7.5 rebounds through the Grizzlies’ first four games this season. Last year he gained national attention when he helped fuel Memphis to a playoff berth despite the injury to franchise superstar Rudy Gay. Randolph averaged 20.1 points and 12.2 rebounds per game last season.

The Grizzlies are currently 1-3 on the young season. They will play the Kings, 2-3, tonight in Sacramento.
