Derrick Rose Not Recruiting Dwight Howard To Join Forces In Chicago

There's been talk for weeks now about who, if anyone, will finally land Orlando Magic superstar Dwight Howard in a trade this winter. The Chicago Bulls have been floated out there as a potential destination for the superstar big man, but Bulls star Derrick Rose has made one thing clear: He's made no effort to recruit Howard.

"That's just not me," Rose told Nick Friedell of ESPN Chicago. "My whole life, I've never been the type of player where I've recruited people like that.

"I don't know how the conversation would go, actually, if I called him. 'What's up?' or whatever? I don't know how to even approach someone about coming here. It would be super hard."

Rose and Howard, two of the game's brightest young stars, go head to head tonight as the Bulls take on the Magic at the Amway Center. It'll be the first meeting this season for the two franchise players, on or off the court.
