Cowboys wide receiver Dez Bryant was involved in an altercation with a famous rapper’s entourage at a Miami nightclub late Sunday night, according to the Dallas Morning News.

The fight broke out after members of the rapper’s entourage mocked Bryant about his mediocre season and his accumulating personal debts.  Bryant’s mentor, David Wells, told WFAA-Dallas News that the wide receiver was not arrested, however he was detained by police for questioning.

The Miami New Times is reporting that the rapper involved in the incident is Lil Wayne, however other outlets have not been able to verify that report.

In 2011, Bryant was involved in several legal incidents including a criminal trespass warning, refusing to move his car parked in a fire lane, and being sued for $800,000 by a jewelry store. Cowboys owner Jerry Jones has talked to Bryant about his misconduct off-the-field and has taken over his finances.  The Cowboys have not yet commented on the Miami nightclub incident.
