Sepp Blatter Has Confidence In Michel Platini As Future FIFA Replacement

FIFA president Sepp Blatter thinks that Michel Platini is ready to take over for him and govern the sport, according to the Guardian.

"Michel Platini is ready. If he wishes. He says 'I do not know'… but deep down, he wants it," Blatter said in an interview with France Football. "He will be a good president of course. He will not be the same president as me, because everyone is different, but he will be good president."

Platini is currently the UEFA president and has not yet commented on whether he wishes to take over for Blatter in the future. The current FIFA president, however, is not expected to step down until 2015.
