The Oakland Raiders have hired former Denver Broncos assistant Dennis Allen as their next head coach, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.


Allen, 38, has served as defensive coordinator of the Broncos for only one season. He will be replacing Hue Jackson, who was fired by the Raiders earlier this month. Aside from a season in Denver, Allen also spent time with the New Orleans Saints and the Atlanta Falcons.
