Patriots' Rob Gronkowski Unable To Practice With Ankle Injury

The New England Patriots didn't practice today in Foxboro, but they would have been without a significant piece of their offense if they had -- star tight end Rob Gronkowski was listed as "unable to practice" on the team's first injury report, according to the Associated Press.

The Pats' second-year star injured his left ankle in the team's AFC title win over the Baltimore Ravens. He was seen wearing a removable boot on his left foot on Monday.

Despite not having a practice, coach Bill Belichick was nonetheless required to file an injury report. Gronkowski was listed as "DNP," while 12 other players were listed as "limited participation," including Wes Welker, Logan Mankins and Rob Ninkovich.

Gronkowski set an NFL record for tight ends this season with 17 touchdown catches. He limped off the field in the third quarter of Sunday's game but returned about five minutes later.
