Brewers SP Zach Greinke open to talk extension

Milwaukee Brewers starting pitcher Zach Greinke said that he would be open to discussing an extension with the team after his contract is up in 2012, according to MLB.com.

Greinke, the 2009 Cy Yound Award winner, does not have an agent representing him, but he says that won't stop him from negotiating a contract extension with Milwaukee.

“I’ll talk to them about it. I don’t really want to talk to anyone else about it," Greinke said, according to the report. "But I like the business of baseball. It’s exciting for me. It’s not like I plan on being my agent, but it is exciting being able to know what’s going on behind the scenes.”
