Cam Newton, Von Miller Named Rookies Of The Year

Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton and Denver Broncos linebacker Von Miller have been named the NFL offensive and defensive rookies of the year, respectively.

Netwon, 22, set an NFL rookie record for passing yards with 4,051 yards and set an NFL record for rushing touchdowns by a quarterback (14). The first overall pick of the 2011 NFL Draft helped the Panthers improve from 2-14 to 6-10 this season.
