New Broadway Play Will Feature Magic Johnson, Larry Bird

More than three decades after the two basketball legends arrived on the national stage, Magic Johnson and Larry Bird are about to appear on a literal stage -- as the two lead characters in a new Broadway play.

The story of the leading Laker and Celtic star -- their rivalry, their friendship and everything in between -- will be the subject of "Magic/Bird," a new show opening in April.

"I guess it's the real Showtime," Johnson told the AP.
