Randy Moss announced Monday that he was interested in returning to the NFL, and outspoken ex-teammate Cris Carter took to the airwaves to denigrate the receiver.

"The one thing you have to address with Randy Moss is not a conditioning thing," Carter said on ESPN Radio's Mike and Mike in the Morning, according to the Minnesota Star-Tribune. "It's not an age thing. ... I believe it's the elephant in the room. It's that thing called quit.

"But Randy, when things don't go well, like no other player I've ever been around or associated with, he has a quit mechanism in him that's huge. That needs to be addressed before he signs with any team."

Moss responded to Carter's comments on Twitter, even mentioning Carter's latest snub from the Hall of Fame. https://twitter.com/#!/DaRealOtisMoss/status/169414239386222592
