Tom Martinez, Mentor To Tom Brady, Dies On 66th Birthday

The San Jose Mercury News reports that Tom Martinez, a longtime quarterbacks coach at the College of San Mateo in California who mentored Tom Brady, has died. It was his 66th birthday.

Martinez announced in June that he had just weeks to live due to complications from diabetes. Today he suffered a heart attack during kidney dialysis; he had been waiting for a transplant.
