Eagles Close To Signing Trent Edwards

Philadelphia Eagles general manager Howie Roseman indicated today at the scouting combine that the Eagles will sign quarterback Trent Edwards, according to ProFootballTalk.

Edwards did not play for any team last season after being released by the Oakland Raiders Sep. 3, in the team’s final round of cuts.

He was a third round draft pick in 2007, where he debuted for the Buffalo Bills. He remained in Buffalo through 2010 and then was traded to Jacksonville.
