The Detroit Lions look to re-sign defensive back Eric Wright, according to the Detroit Free Press.
“He had a solid season for us,” Lions general manager Martin Mayhew told the paper Friday. “We were happy with his performance. He can obviously perform better. Most of our guys can. But we’re also going to work on trying to get him back.”
The Lions met with Wright’s agent on Saturday, however, no contract proposals were exchanged. Wright has said he wants to remain in Detroit, but is seeking a long-term deal. Wright started this past season at right cornerback but also filled in on the left side due to injury. This season he had 74 tackles, four interceptions, and one forced fumble.
