Robert Griffin III had the fasted 40-yard dash time out of any quarterback participating in last weekend’s NFL Combine with a 4.41 official time. Griffin, however, thinks he ran it even faster than the official scoreboard reported.

The Associated Press reports that Griffin, the reigning Heisman Trophy winner, claims he was told on the field that he ran the 40-yard dash in 4.35 seconds. If that were true, it would make him one of the fastest players in the draft overall.

Although he did not throw in Indianapolis, he participated in other drills and met with eight different teams. He is considered to be one of the top two or three potential pick’s in April’s NFL draft. Griffin threw 4,293 yards and 37 touchdowns with six interceptions this season. During his time at Baylor he totaled 78 touchdowns for 10,366 yards and 17 interceptions.
