Speculation continues to abound about Lamar Odom's future, or lack thereof, with the Dallas Mavericks. Here's the latest: ESPN's Marc Stein reports that Odom is likely to play at least one game with the Mavericks' D-League affiliate in nearby Frisco to "get his legs back under him."
Odom is expected to practice with the Texas Legends on Friday afternoon and play Saturday, at home against the Austin Toros. Meanwhile, the Mavs' big club plays at New Orleans on Friday night. The team has already announced that Odom won't make the trip.
A source told Jeff Caplan of ESPN Dallas that there's "a growing feeling in the locker room that Odom might not return at all." Odom has struggled mightily since being traded to the Mavs in December. After winning Sixth Man of the Year honors last season, he is averaging just 7.7 points and 4.5 rebounds per game this year.
