Wichita State Coach Gregg Marshall Reprimanded After Postgame Comments
The Missouri Valley Conference reprimanded Wichita State coach Gregg Williams due to comments Williams made after his team's loss to Illinois State in the conference tournament, according to the Associated Press.
Marshall complained following the game, including his assessment that officials were unfair in giving Shockers center Garrett Stutz a technical foul, saying that they, “Didn’t seem like they wanted to see him play too much.”
Wichita State released a statement Tuesday, in which the coach apologized.
