Boston Celtics president of basketball operations, Danny Ainge, squashed rumors about a potential trade of star guard Rajon Rondo, according to CSNNE.com.
“Rondo’s not being traded,” Ainge told CSNNE.com. “I don’t know how many times I have to say it. Rondo’s not being traded.”
“Rondo, from the beginning of this year, has shown a lot of maturity in dealing with all this, back to the Chris Paul rumors and stuff," Ainge said. "Rondo and I have had open dialogue and conversation. He knows where he stands with our organization and how important he is."
The three time All-Star is averaging 13.9 points per game, 4.8 rebounds and 10 assists this season. Over the course of his career he has averaged is 10.9 points per game, 7.7 assists, and 4.4 rebounds.
