The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have landed a whale of a free agent, signing wide receiver Vincent Jackson to a five-year deal worth $55.55 million. Here's ESPN's Adam Schefter:

Jackson is coming off a season in which he made 60 catches for 1,106 yards and a career-high nine touchdowns for the San Diego Chargers, earning his second Pro Bowl selection. He now joins a Bucs team sorely in need of an overhaul -- they went 4-12 last season and haven't made the playoffs since 2007. Jackson had spent his entire seven-year career with the Chargers, who selected him in the second round of the 2005 NFL draft.
