Free agent and former Washington Wizards forward Ronny Turiaf is finalizing an agreement with the Miami Heat, according to Adam Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports.
“We’re working hard to get it finished up,” Turiaf’s agent, Mark Bartelstein, told Yahoo! Sports. The deal will be announced later Wednesday, league sources said.
At the league trade deadline, the Denver Nugget acquired Turiaf from the Washington Wizards as part of a three-team deal. The Nuggets then bought out his contract and he cleared waivers on Tuesday. Turiaf played just four games for the Wizards this season due to a hand fracture he suffered in January. Previously with the Knicks, the 6-foot-10 forward averaged four points and three rebounds last season.
