It's been speculated that this season, with New Orleans Saints head coach Sean Payton under suspension and the team in the market for a quick fix, that Bill Parcells would come out of retirement and man the sidelines in the Big Easy. But that isn't too likely, as Parcells tells SI's Peter King.

"Do I have the bug?" Parcells said. "I don't think so."

Parcells was the Dallas Cowboys' head coach between 2003 and '06; he hasn't been seen on an NFL sideline since. He briefly held a front-office position with the Miami Dolphins, but no coaching. Parcells said he's had two opportunities to return to coaching, but he had no desire to accept. The speculation was that because of his connection to Payton, who was his assistant in Dallas from 2003 to '05, Parcells would make an exception for one season. But Parcells will be 71 in August, older than all 32 head coaches in the NFL today, and does not appear inclined to end his retired lifestyle.
