Despite the New York Jets being the center of attention this offseason, New York Giants coach Tom Coughlin says football fans will always know he has the better team in New York, according to NBC Sports.
"You know who won the Super Bowl even if we're not on the front page, New Yorkers know," Coughlin said to reporters at the NFL Annual Meeting.
When asked about whether he would ever acquire a “Wildcat” quarterback for his offense, Coughlin took another stab at the Jets saying, “Once you start to develop your guy, you like him to have the ball in his hand.” Many of the recent headlines in the New York media have talked about the Jets quarterback controversy starting with the push to sign Peyton Manning. After they failed to acquire the four-time NFL MVP, the Jets settled by signing Mark Sanzhez to a three-year contract extension. They made more news last week by acquiring former Denver Broncos quarterback Tim Tebow and having a press conference to welcome the backup quarterback to New York.
