Antonio Garay Signs Two-Year Contract To Remain With Chargers
Defensive tackle Antonio Garay has agreed to a two-year contract to remain with the San Diego Chargers, according to the Associated Press.
Garay originally joined the Chargers as a free agent on Dec. 9, 2009; he played in all 32 of the team's games in 2010 and '11, accumulating 108 tackles including eight sacks.
Garay remains an integral piece of a San Diego defensive line that also includes Vaughn Martin, Corey Liuget and Jacques Cesaire as defensive ends, and Cam Thomas at tackle. Drafted in the sixth round by the Cleveland Browns out of Boston College in 2003, Garay played two seasons in Cleveland and two with the Chicago Bears. He also had a brief stint on the New York Jets' practice squad before signing with the Chargers in '09.
