Tampa Bay Rays minor league pitcher, Matt Bush, was involved in three separate hit-and-runs on the day he was arrested and charged with a DUI, according to HardballTalk.

“Rays minor league pitcher Matt Bush got in a previous hit-and-run accident three hours before police arrested him in North Port Mar. 22 for a DUI-hit-and-run crash, according to Venice Police records.”

The other two hit-and-runs involved hitting a parked car and a light pole.

According to reports, Tony Tufano, a 72-year-old motorcyclist who Bush hit, is improving and should be released from the hospital soon. Bush was drafted No. 1 overall by the San Diego Padres as a shortstop in 2004, but has never played above Double-A.
