At a gala event  for charity on Friday, Tim Tebow was blown away when a married Florida couple bid $100,000 to spend a day with the New York Jets quarterback, according to ESPN.

The husband and wife sealed their winning bid in a live auction during Friday night’s gala event for the Tim Tebow Foundation.  The couple, whom the foundation declined to identify, plan to share their day with Tebow with underprivileged children near their home in the Florida Keys.

"It was very humbling, and you don't necessarily feel worthy," Tebow said to ESPN. "That day I feel like I've got to do a few extra things to be special, you know? I've got to try to be a little bit better." Tim Tebow Foundation executive director Erik Dellenback said there was initial disbelief when the bid was placed until he and Tebow found out who made the bid, as the couple donated previously to the Tebow Foundation.
