The Los Angeles Angels and shortstop Erick Aybar have agreed to a multi-year contract extension, according to ESPN.com. The deal is expected to be announced Thursday.

The report states that Aybar will be paid $35 million over the next four years. The 28-year-old won his first career Gold Glove Award last season.
