Report: Falcons In Talks With Eagles Over Asante Samuel

The Atlanta Falcons have been involved in talks with the Philadelphia Eagles to acquire cornerback Asante Samuel, according to Jay Glazer of Fox Sports.

The Eagles have been attempting to shop the cornerback since the end of the 2011 season to clear salary space. The Tennessee Titans, Denver Broncos, and Detroit Lions have also showed interest.

Samuel, 31, has three interceptions and 30 tackles last season in 14 games for the Eagles. His best season came in 2006 when he had 10 interceptions for the New England Patriots.
