The New Orleans Saints have re-signed kicker John Kasay to a one-year contract, the team announced Monday.

Kasay, 42, spent the majority of his career with the Carolina Panthers, but was cut before the 2011 season and picked up by the Saints. In 2011, Kasay made 28 of 34 field goals attempted and set franchise records with 147 total points and 63 extra points. The 21-year-old veteran has made 81.9% of field goals in his career while playing for the Seahawks, Panthers and Saints.
