Los Angeles Dodgers Sign Bobby Abreu To One-Year Deal

Former Los Angeles Angels outfielder Bobby Abreu has agreed to a one-year contract with the Los Angeles Dodgers, according to Fox Sports.

Abreu was released by the Angels last week despite a large chunk of change remaining on his long-term contract. The veteran outfielder had hit just .208 to start the season on a team filled with out of position sluggers looking for a spot in the lineup. Top prospect Mike Trout replaced him on the roster.

The 38-year-old reportedly will sign for the major-league minimum with the Dodgers.
