The Oakland Athletics have placed outfielder Coco Crisp on the disabled list due to an ear infection, according to Hardballtalk.
Crisp’s ear issue has forced him to battle dizziness and head congestion, according to reports. The 32-year-old has hit just .194/.260/.209 with four stolen bases in 18 games this season.
Last year Crisp led the American League with 49 stolen bases while hitting .264/.314/.379 with eight home runs and 54 RBI. The Athletics will call up Michael Taylor to replace Crisp. The 26-year-old hit .200/.314/.300 with one home run in an 11 game stint with Oakland last year.
