Brett Gardner To Begin Triple-A Rehab Stint

New York Yankees starting outfielder Brett Gardner will begin a rehab assignment in Triple-A, according to ESPN New York.

"Really, it depends on how he feels, how comfortable he feels with his swing,'' manager Joe Girardi said when asked how long Gardner would be in Triple-A. "Shouldn't be too long.''

Gardner was placed on the disabled list for a sore right elbow effective April 18. The 28-year-old outfielder was hitting .321 with two stolen bases in nine games for New York.
