New York Knicks star forward Carmelo Anthony says that his team is one of the top three or four teams in the Eastern Conference, according to Newsday.

"I feel confident in my team and where we're headed," Anthony said. "In the future I feel good about competing with the top teams in the Eastern Conference. I do consider our team being up there, top three, top four teams in the East. We just got to get better."

The Knicks were eliminated from the first round of the NBA playoffs last night by the Miami Heat. They entered the playoffs as the No. 7 seed in the Eastern Conference, and were eliminated in five games. New York finished the shortened NBA season with a 36-30 record, despite being forced to deal with multiple injuries to Anthony, Amar'e Stoudemire, Jeremy Lin, and Baron Davis.
