Los Angeles Clippers stars Chris Paul and Blake Griffin both suffered injuries in the club's Game 5 loss to the Memphis Grizzlies last night. Both, however, are expected to play in Game 6 on Friday, according to Pro BasketballTalk.
Head coach Vinny Del Negro told reporters following the game that the team's training staff had cleared both players to re-enter Game 5, and thus he believed that the two would be set to play Game 6 in Los Angeles.
Griffin buckled his knee on a drive to the left side of the basket during the third quarter. He re-entered the game after being tended to by the medical staff, but was seen limping on the court. He will reportedly have an MRI today to look at the knee.
Paul was forced to sit out the last several minutes of last night's loss after tweaking his groin. The 27-year-old had trouble with the same groin injury toward the end of the regular season.
