Larry Bird has been named the NBA Executive of the Year, according to the Indiana Pacers' official Twitter account.

The Pacers improved to 42-24 this season, after finishing last year with a below .500 record of 37-45. They are currently tied 1-1 in their playoff series with the Miami Heat. With the award, Bird becomes the only person in league history to win an Executive of the Year award, a Most Valuable Player award, and a Coach of the Year award. Bird has also won the NBA Rookie of the Year Award, the John R. Wooden Award and the Naismith Men’s College Player of the Year Award.
