Seattle Seahawks backup offensive lineman Allen Barbre has been suspended for the first four games of the season, a league source told Howard Balzer of ESPN 101 Radio in St. Louis.

Pro Football Talk reports there is no word on the reason for Barbre's suspension. The offensive tackle played in four games last season and was expected to compete for a spot on the roster during training camp. Barbre started seven games for the Green Bay Packers in 2009 and has played in 31 games during his five-year career.
