At the press conference to announce that the Knicks had retained Mike Woodson as coach, general manager Glen Grunwald was asked about guard Jeremy Lin, who is recovering from knee surgery and is a restricted free agent.

According to Al Iannazzone of New York Newsday, Grunwald said that he couldn't envision a scenario in which the Knicks don't remain Linsane, and Woodson spoke as if a deal was a fait accompli.

"Jeremy’s doing great. He’s going through his rehab process. He’s back running and moving like we expected him to be. ... He will be ready to go full as we go through our summer program. We will touch him. He will have some play time with the Select Team so I’ll go out to Vegas and spend some time there and watch him play."
