The Baltimore Orioles completed a major piece of off-the-field business today, signing center fielder Adam Jones to a six year, $85 million contract extension, according to a tweet from MASN's Roch Kubatko. The deal will be the largest in franchise history for the Orioles. Jones was voted the Orioles' Most Valuable Player last season, and is batting .310/.353/.594 with nine doubles, a triple, 14 homers, 31 RBIs and 33 runs scored in 2012. The Orioles will hold a press conference tomorrow to announce the extension.
