The Baltimore Orioles completed a major piece of off-the-field business today, signing center fielder Adam Jones to a six year, $85 million contract extension, according to a tweet from MASN's Roch Kubatko.

Jones was voted the Orioles' Most Valuable Player last season, and is batting .310/.353/.594 with nine doubles, a triple, 14 homers, 31 RBIs and 33 runs scored in 2012. The Orioles will hold a press conference tomorrow to announce the extension.
