Reports: Giants' David Diehl arrested on DWI suspicion

New York Giants offensive lineman David Diehl was arrested Sunday night on suspicion of DWI in Queens, NBC's  Shimon Prokeupecz reported on Twitter.

The Star-Ledger's Mike Garofalo got a statement from Diehl's agent, Peter Schaffer, who didn't directly respond to the reports.

"I am honored to represent David Diehl," Schaffer said in a brief statement, "one of, if not the classiest, most humble New York Giants ever."

Earlier in the day, Diehl had been tweeting about the Euro 2012 soccer match between Ireland and Croatia, where he has roots.

This would be the first legal issue for Diehl, who has started all but four games during his nine-year career with the Giants.
