Chad Ochocinco is once step closer to returning to an NFL roster. Miami Dolphins head coach Joe Philbin today confirmed reports that Ochocinco worked out with the team, in advance of possibly joining them for the 2012 preseason.

In an interview with NFL Total Access, Dolphins running back Reggie Bush expressed his support for Ochocinco's addition to the team.

"If we are able to get him on our team, I feel like he can bring a lot of wisdom and knowledge from a veteran standpoint. So, if we can get him, we’d love to have him. If not, then we’re just going to have to move on without him," Bush said. "I think he has a lot left in the tank. If we can get him on our team, I think that would be great for us."
Ochocinco spent the 2011-2012 season with the New England Patriots, who released the wide receiver last week.
