Roger Goodell to meet with Sen. Dick Durbin about bounties

NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell is going to the highest levels of government to talk about the bounty problems that have been talk of his sport for the past several months.

Goodell will meet with Sen. Dick Durbin (D-Ill.) regarding the topic of bounties in pro sports, according to profootballtalk.com. After the meeting Durbin and Goodell will conduct a joint press conference, which is scheduled to begin at 4:30 p.m. ET.

Goodell just concluded the bounty appeals with current and former members of the New Orleans Saints and there is no word when the final judgment will be handed down concerning those suspended players.
