Nets, Mavericks offer public birthday wishes to free agent Deron Williams

Marc Stein of ESPN.com reported on Saturday night that free agent point guard Deron Williams had narrowed his list to two teams: the incumbent Brooklyn Nets and his hometown Dallas Mavericks.

Perhaps emboldened by this news, both franchises publicly went a-courtin' Williams on Tuesday, his 28th birthday.

Williams' wife, Amy, awoke to find a mobile billboard parked outside their Manhattan apartment building. She tweeted a photo to Williams.
